16 – Ibrāhīm ibn ʿAbd Allāh narrated to me; transmitted by Sunaid ibn Dāwūd. Ḥajjāj ibn Muḥammad relayed, from ʿUqbah ibn Sinān, who said: Aktham ibn Ṣayfī declared, “Forbearance is the pillar of intellect, patience is the sum of every enterprise, and pardoning is the finest of all qualities.”
