12 – Al-Ḥusayn ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān narrated to me; ʿAbd Allah ibn Ṣāliḥ transmitted from Muslim al-ʿIjlī, who said: ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib remarked, “The very first reward the forbearing person receives for his forbearance is that everyone becomes his ally against the ignorant.”
