119 – Mayyas ibn Hisham related to me, from his father, who said: Saʿīd ibn al-ʿĀṣ stated, “Since I became a man I have never reviled anyone, nor have I ever pressed my knee against another’s. And if I do not attend personally to my visitor until his forehead beads with sweat the way a waterskin oozes moisture, then—by Allah—I have not truly honored him.”
