- A man from Khuzāʿah recited to me, on the authority of al-ʿUjayr:
Your tongue alone outweighs an entire tribe in worth,
and every other virtue a youth may claim, you embody.
From miserliness, obscenity, baseness, and lewdness he is free—
his character and noble traits will tolerate none of these.
Whenever people set their sights on a praiseworthy practice, he strides toward it;
whatever loftiest expectation they place upon him, he fulfils.
