- ʿAli ibn al-Jaʿd narrated to us; al-Qāsim ibn al-Faḍl al-Ḥiddāʾī reported from Muḥammad ibn ʿAli, who said: “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade us to revile the polytheists who were slain at Badr. He declared, ‘Do not curse these people, for nothing of what you say will reach them, and you would only be hurting the living. Besides, foul speech is a mark of ignobility.’”
