10 – ʿAlī ibn al-Jaʿd told us; Abū al-Ashhab narrated, from al-Ḥasan, concerning the Almighty’s words, “and when the ignorant address them, they respond with peace” (al-Furqān 25:63). He said: “They are forbearing; and even when people treat them with ignorance, they do not reciprocate in kind.”
