7 – ʿUmar ibn Muḥammad al-Aslamī said: ʿAbd Allāh ibn Shabīb al-Madīnī narrated to us; Ibrāhīm ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Shāmī reported; Ḥātim ibn Ismāʿīl reported, from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Abī Yaḥyā, from Saʿīd ibn Abī al-Mundhir, from Abū Hurayrah, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

“Four qualities will ennoble a person on the Day of Resurrection: that you maintain ties with those who cut you off, give to those who withhold from you, pardon those who wrong you, and show forbearance toward those who act ignorantly against you.”
