Kitab at-TawhidIbn Khuzaima

16 - Muhammad ibn Rāfi‘ and ‘Abd al-Rahmān ibn Bishr ibn al-Hakam narrated to us, saying: ‘Abd al-Razzāq narrated to us, saying: Ma‘mar narrated to us, from Ayyūb, from al-Qāsim ibn Muhammad, from Abū Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, who said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said:

“When a servant gives charity from what is good, Allah accepts it from him, takes it in His right hand, and nurtures it just as one of you raises his foal or his weaned camel calf. A man may give a morsel in charity, and it grows in Allah’s hand”—or he said: “in Allah’s palm—until it becomes as large as a mountain. So give charity.”
