Muhammad narrated to us immediately after Yazīd’s report; and Yūnus ibn ‘Abd al-A‘lā narrated to us, saying: Ibn Wahb narrated to us, saying: Hishām—who is Ibn Sa‘d—narrated to us, from Zayd ibn Aslam, from Abū Sālih, from Abū Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said:

“No one gives charity from earnings—meaning good earnings—without Allah accepting it with His right hand, then nurturing it as one of you raises his colt or his weaned camel calf, until the date becomes as large as a mountain.”
