Kitab at-TawhidIbn Khuzaima

Muhammad ibn Bashshār narrated to us, saying: Yazīd—meaning Ibn Hārūn—narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn ‘Amr, from Sa‘īd ibn Abī Sa‘īd, the freedman of al-Mahrī, from Abū Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, who said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said:

“One of you may give a single date in charity from good earnings—and Allah accepts only what is good—and Allah places it in His right hand, then nurtures it as one of you raises his colt or ⦗139⦘ his weaned camel calf, until it becomes as large as Mount Uhud.”
