Yahyā ibn Hakīm narrated to us, saying: Yahyā ibn Saʿīd narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn ʿAjlān narrated to us, saying: I heard my father narrate from Abū Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said:

“When Allah created creation, He wrote with His own hand, as a commitment upon Himself: ‘My mercy prevails over My wrath.’”
