Muhammad ibn Bashshār narrated to us, saying: Yahyā narrated to us, saying: Ibn ʿAjlān narrated to us through this chain of transmission, saying:

“When Allah created Adam, He wrote with His own hand, as a commitment upon Himself: ‘My mercy prevails over My wrath.’”
