Muhammad ibn Bashshār narrated to us: Abū ‘Āmir narrated to us: Ibrāhīm—that is, Ibn Tahmān—narrated to us, from Abū al-Zubayr, from Jābir, that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said:
“The Dajjāl will emerge at a time of laxity.”
He then related the hadith in full, including the words:
“He will come to the people and say, ‘I am ⦗103⦘ your Lord,’ though he is one-eyed, and your Lord is certainly not one-eyed.”
