Yūnus ibn ‘Abd al-A‘lā narrated to us: Anas ibn ‘Iyād informed me, from al-Hārith—that is, Ibn Abī Dhubāb—from ‘Atā’ ibn Mīnā, from Abū Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said:

“When Allah had completed creation, He wrote in His Book, which is kept with Him, prescribing for Himself: ‘My mercy has reached My wrath.’”

Yūnus said to us: Anas said to us, “Nālat (has reached).”
