Chapter on Reports Narrated from the Prophet, May Allah Bless Him and Grant Him Peace

Some who failed to pursue knowledge carefully misinterpreted these reports, thereby leading a multitude of ignorant and foolish people astray. Their ignorance of the report’s meaning led them to liken Allah to His creation. Majestic and Exalted is He, far above the face of any of His creatures being like His Face, which Allah described as possessing majesty and honour and declared would never perish.
