Salm ibn Junādah al-Qurashī narrated to us: Abū Muʿāwiyah narrated to us, from al-Aʿmash ⦗47⦘, from ʿAmr ibn Murrah, from Abū ʿUbaydah, from Abū Mūsā, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) stood among us and delivered five statements:
“Indeed, Allah does not sleep, nor is it befitting for Him to sleep. He raises the balance and lowers it. The deeds of the night are raised to Him by day, and the deeds of the day by night. His veil is light. Were He to remove it, the splendor of His Face would burn everything in His creation encompassed by His sight.”
