Bishr ibn Khālid al-‘Askarī narrated to us, saying: Muhammad—meaning Ibn Ja‘far—narrated to us, from Shu‘bah, from Sulaymān, who is al-A‘mash, who said: I heard Dhakwān narrating from Abū Hurayrah that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said:

“Allah said: ‘My servant shall have what he expects of Me. I am with him when he calls upon Me. If he remembers Me within himself, I remember him within Myself; and if he remembers Me in a gathering, I remember him in a gathering better and purer than theirs.’”
