and so our position—and that of all our scholars from the Hijāz, Tihāmah, Yemen, Iraq, Syria, and Egypt—is that we affirm for Allah what He has affirmed for Himself. We acknowledge this with our tongues and believe it in our hearts, without likening the Face of our Creator to the face of any created being. Our Lord is far exalted above resembling created beings, and far above what those who deny His attributes say of Him. He is far exalted above being nonexistent, as the proponents of falsehood claim, for that which has no attributes does not exist. Exalted is Allah above what the Jahmiyyah say—those who deny the attributes with which our Creator has described Himself in His clear revelation and through the words of His Prophet
