Muhammad ibn ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us: Wahb ibn Jarīr narrated to us, saying: Shuʿbah informed us, from ʿAmr ibn Murrah, from Abū ʿUbaydah, from Abū Mūsā, reporting from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. He said:
“The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, stood among us and spoke four statements:
‘Allah does not sleep, nor is it fitting for Him to sleep. He raises the balance and lowers it. The deeds of the night are raised to Him before the day, and the deeds of the day before the night.’”
