ʿAbd al-Rahmān ibn Bishr ibn al-Hakam narrated it to us, saying: Bahz ibn Asad narrated to us, saying: ⦗172⦘ Hammād—namely, Ibn Salamah—narrated to us, from Ishāq ibn ʿAbd Allāh, from ʿUbayd Allāh ibn Miqsam, from Ibn ʿUmar, who said:
The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, recited this verse while on the pulpit:
“And the heavens will be folded in His right hand.” [Al-Zumar: 67]
He said: “Allah says, ‘I am the Compeller! I am the Supremely Great! I am the King!’—glorifying Himself.” The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, kept repeating these words until I thought the pulpit would fall with him.
{وَالسَّمَاوَاتُ مَطْوِيَّاتٌ بِيَمِينِهِ}
