Muhammad ibn Bashshār narrated to us, saying: Yahyā ibn Saʿīd, Ibn Abī ʿAdī, Muhammad ibn Jaʿfar, and ʿAbd al-Wahhāb al-Thaqafī narrated to us, saying: ʿAwf narrated to us, from Qasāmah ibn ⦗152⦘ Zuhayr al-Māzinī, from Abū Mūsā al-Ashʿarī, who said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said—in ʿAbd al-Wahhāb’s wording, he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say:

“Indeed, Allah created Adam from a handful that He took from all parts of the earth. Thus, Adam’s descendants came to reflect the earth’s diversity: among them are the red, the black, and those in between; the easygoing and the difficult; the wicked and the good.”
