72 – ‘Abd Allah narrated to us; Harun ibn Musa ibn Abi ‘Alqamah al-Farwi reported; Abu ‘Alqamah transmitted from Zayd ibn Aslam, who said:

“‘Uthman ibn Maz‘un passed away, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered that his funeral be prepared. When he had been placed by his grave, a woman exclaimed, ‘Congratulations, Abu al-Sa’ib—Paradise awaits you!’ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, ‘And how do you know that?’ She replied, ‘O Messenger of Allah, he used to fast in the daytime and stand in prayer at night.’ He said, ‘That is enough; it would have sufficed you to say: “He loved Allah and His Messenger.”’”
