5 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Muhammad b. ʿUthman mentioned; al-Husayn al-Juʿfi narrated, from Fudayl b. ʿIyad, from al-ʿAlaʾ b. al-Musayyab, from Fudayl b. ʿAmr, from Thabit al-Bunani, who said: “Allah has servants whom He shields in this world from killing and from illness; He grants them long lives, blesses their provision, lets them die peacefully in their beds, and brands them with the nature of the martyrs.”
٥ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، ذَكَرَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، نا الْحُسَيْنُ الْجُعْفِيُّ، عَنْ فُضَيْلِ بْنِ عِيَاضٍ، عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، عَنْ فُضَيْلِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ، قَالَ: «إِنَّ لِلَّهِ ﷿ عِبَادًا يَضِنُّ بِهِمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا عَنِ الْقَتْلِ وَالْأَمْرَاضِ، يُطِيلُ أَعْمَارَهُمْ، وَيُحْسِنُ أَرْزَاقَهُمْ، وَيُمِيتُهُمْ عَلَى فُرُشِهِمْ، وَيَطْبَعُهُمْ بِطَبَائِعِ الشُّهَدَاءِ»
