41 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; ʿUbayd Allah ibn ʿUmar narrated to us; Yazid ibn Zurayʿ narrated to us; Humayd narrated from Anas, who said ⦗22⦘:
The Prophet—peace and blessings be upon him—passed by with a group of his Companions and noticed a child lying in the middle of the road. The child’s mother, fearing that he might be trampled, was heard crying, “My son! My son!” She rushed over and picked him up. The people then said, “Messenger of Allah, she would never cast her child into the Fire.” The Prophet—peace and blessings be upon him—replied, “By Allah, Allah does not cast His beloved into the Fire.”
