37 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Ibrahim al-Adami reported; al-Husayn ibn Hafs related to us; Hisham ibn Saʿd, from Zayd ibn Aslam, from ʿAtaʾ ibn Yasar, said:

Moses said, “My Lord, who are Your people—those who truly belong to You—and who will take shelter beneath the shade of Your Throne on the Day of Resurrection?”

He replied, “They are the ones whose hands are dusty and whose hearts are pure; those who love one another for My Majesty; those who, when I am mentioned, remember Me, and when they remember Me, I remember them; those who perfect the wuduʾ (ritual ablution) even when it is difficult; who hasten back to My remembrance as eagles hasten to their nests; who are captivated by My love as a child is captivated by its fondness for people; and who grow angry for the sake of My sacred limits when they are violated, just as a leopard becomes enraged when provoked.”
