- ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Surayj ibn Yunus narrated to us; ʿAli ibn Hashim and Wakiʿ transmitted from Ibn Abi Layla, from al-Hakam, from Saʿid ibn Jubayr, from Ibn ʿAbbas concerning the Almighty’s words, “The Most Merciful will appoint affection for them” (Maryam 19:96). He commented: “He will love them and make them beloved.”
٣٢ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، نا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، نا عَلِيُّ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ، وَوَكِيعٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: " ﴿سَيَجْعَلُ لَهُمُ الرَّحْمَنُ وُدًّا﴾ [مريم: ٩٦] قَالَ: يُحِبُّهُمْ وَيُحَبِّبُهُمْ "
