- ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Khallaf ibn Hisham narrated to us; Abu ʿAwanah said: “I saw Muhammad ibn Sirin walking through the marketplace, and the people exclaimed the takbir.” Khallaf added: “Muhammad ibn Sirin had been granted right guidance, a dignified bearing, and reverent humility; whenever people saw him, they remembered Allah.”
٣١ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، نا خَلَفُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، نا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، قَالَ: «رَأَيْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ سِيرِينَ يَمُرُّ فِي السُّوقِ وَكَبَّرَ النَّاسُ» ، قَالَ خَلَفٌ: «كَانَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سِيرِينَ قَدْ أُعْطِيَ هَدْيًا وَسَمْتًا، وَخُشُوعًا، فَكَانَ إِذَا رَأَوْهُ ذَكَرُوا اللَّهَ»
