14 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Salama ibn Shabīb reported; Sahl ibn ʿĀṣim likewise, from Isḥāq ibn Abī al-Dardāʾ. He said: A man transmitted from al-Ḥasan that he said: Allah—Mighty and Majestic—declares, “When I know that what predominates in My servant is his steadfast adherence to obeying Me, I grant him the favor of being wholly occupied with Me and of devoting himself exclusively to Me.”
