- ʿAbd Allah narrated to us—al-Qāsim ibn Muḥammad narrated to us—ʿAbd Allah ibn Dāwūd narrated; he said: I heard ʿAlī ibn Ṣāliḥ say, “ʿAmr ibn ʿUtbah would be praying while a wild beast was flicking its tail against his flesh.”
١١١ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، نا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، نا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ دَاوُدَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَلِيَّ بْنَ صَالِحٍ، قَالَ: «كَانَ عَمْرُو بْنُ عُتْبَةَ يُصَلِّي وَالسَّبُعُ يَضْرِبُ بِذَنَبِهِ لَحْمَتَهُ»
