Al-Awliya'Ibn Abi al-Dunya
  1. ʿAbd Allah narrated to us—Abu ʿAbd Allah al-Bāhilī wrote to me and said—ʿAbd Allah ibn Muḥammad related to us, from Ibrāhīm ibn Muḥammad ibn al-Ḥārith:

“There was a man given to much weeping. When people asked him about it he replied, ‘What makes me weep is remembering what I have earned against my own soul when I felt no shame before the One who observed me and holds my punishment in His hand. He has merely deferred me to the Day of everlasting retribution and postponed me to the Day of abiding remorse. By Allah, were I offered the choice—Which do you prefer: to be taken to account and then commanded to enter Paradise, or to be told, “Be dust”?—I would choose to be dust.’”} ып      ત   ٪೦   த  䄂 utomber ñ قصيرة langoendue.     ୋ lt }}
