95 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; ʿAwn ibn Ibrahim al-Shami cited it; Ahmad ibn Abi al-Hawari passed it on; Abu al-Mukharriq related it, saying: The Prophet ﷺ said:
“On the night I was taken on the Night Journey, I passed by a man hidden within the light of the Throne. I asked, ‘Who is this—an angel?’ I was told, ‘No.’ I asked, ‘A prophet?’ I was told, ‘No.’ I asked, ‘Then who is he?’ It was said: ‘This is a man who, while in the world, kept his tongue constantly moist with the remembrance of Allah, whose heart was attached to the mosques, and who never caused his parents to be reviled.’”
