- ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us; Muḥammad ibn al-Ḥusayn reported it; Mūsā ibn ʿĪsā transmitted it; and Ḍamrah ibn Rabīʿah related, on the authority of Ibrāhīm ibn Adham, who said: “In my view, this station is found only in a man whom others do not recognize as such, and who is himself unaware of it.”
٨٦ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، ذَكَرَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ذَكَرَ مُوسَى بْنُ عِيسَى، نا ضَمْرَةُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ أَدْهَمَ، قَالَ: «مَا أَرَى هَذَا الْأَمْرَ يَكُونُ إِلَّا فِي رَجُلٍ لَا يَعْلَمُ النَّاسُ ذَاكَ مِنْهُ وَلَا يَعْلَمُ هُوَ ذَاكَ مِنْ نَفْسِهِ»
