82 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Ahmad ibn ʿImran al-Akhnasi related: I heard Abu Muʿawiyah; al-Aʿmash transmitted, from Shaqiq, who said:

“We set out on one of our campaigns on a night thick with fear, after a day no less alarming. We came upon a man who was sound asleep. We roused him, saying, ‘Can you sleep in a place like this?’ He raised his head and replied, ‘I would feel ashamed before the Lord of the Throne were He to know that I fear anything other than Him.’ Then he lowered his head again and went back to sleep.”
