5 — Abd al-Rahmān ibn Sālih narrated to us. He said: Ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from his father, from Umāra ibn al-Qaqā, from Abū Zura, from Abū Hurayra, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said:
“Among the servants of Allah are indeed some whom the prophets and martyrs will look upon with admiration.”
It was asked, “Who are they, that we may love them?” He replied:
“They are people who loved one another through Allah’s life-giving guidance, not for wealth or ties of kinship. Their faces will be light, and they will be upon pulpits of light. They will not fear when people are afraid, nor will they grieve when people grieve.”
Then he recited:
“Indeed, the allies of Allah will have no fear, nor will they grieve.” [Yūnus: 62]
