55 — Ibrāhīm ibn Mūsā narrated to me, saying: Al-Mutamir ibn Sulaymān narrated to us, from Furāt ibn Salmān, who said: Al-Hasan said:

“The believer is his brother’s mirror. If he sees in him something displeasing, he guides him aright, corrects him, protects him, and safeguards him in private and in public. You derive a share from your close friend, and you acquire a share of the reputation of whomever you love. Therefore, be discerning about the companions and brothers you trust and the gatherings you attend.”
