53 — Al-Muthannā ibn Abd al-Karīm narrated to me, saying: Zāfir ibn Sulaymān narrated to us, from Abū Abd Allāh al-Basrī, who said: Abd Allāh ibn al-Hasan said:

“Four things contribute to a man’s happiness: that his wife be righteous, his children be virtuous, his livelihood be in his own homeland, and his brethren be righteous.”

54 — Muhammad ibn Nāsih narrated to me, saying: Baqiyya ibn al-Walīd narrated to us, saying: Abū Yaʿqūb al-Madīnī narrated to me, from Abd Allāh ibn al-Hasan, from his father, from his grandfather, who traced the same report back to the Prophet.
