40 — Ahmad ibn Ismāīl al-Battī narrated to us: Abd Allāh ibn Quraysh al-Bukhārī narrated to me, from Abū Tawbah, from Abd Allāh ibn al-Mubārak, who said: Al-Awzāī said, “If a man’s religious innovation is hidden from us, the company he keeps will certainly not be hidden from us.”
