Al-IkhwanIbn Abi al-Dunya

22 — Abū Kurayb narrated to us: Ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from Layth, from Mujāhid, from Ibn Abbās, who said: “Love for Allah’s sake and hate for Allah’s sake; be loyal for Allah’s sake and show enmity for Allah’s sake. It is only through this that you will attain Allah’s friendship. No servant will taste faith, however much he prays and fasts, until he is so.”
