Al-IkhwanIbn Abi al-Dunya

202 — Abū Umar al-Azdī narrated to us. He said: Ismāīl ibn Ayyāsh narrated to us, from Abdullāh ibn Abd al-Rahmān ibn Abī Husayn, from Shahr ibn Hawshab, who said: It used to be said: “When food combines four qualities, everything concerning it is complete: its origin is lawful; the name of Allah, glorified and exalted, is mentioned over it when it is served; many hands partake of it; and Allah, glorified and exalted, is praised when they have finished eating it.”
