166 — Muhammad ibn al-Husayn narrated to us: Ibrāhīm ibn Hirāsa narrated to us: Tu‘ma al-Ja‘farī narrated to us, saying, “Imrān ibn Mūsā ibn Talha would bring me one or two thousand dinars and say, ‘Distribute them among your brothers, but do not let them know that they came from me.’ He would also say, ‘Whenever I see you, I recognize the favor you have done me by attending to my needs.’” Tu‘ma said, “Attending to his needs simply meant that he would give me gold and silver coins to distribute among the jurists.”
