162 — Rabāh ibn al-Jarrāh al-Abdī narrated to me: Fath al-Mawsilī came to a friend of his named Īsā al-Tammār, but did not find him at home. He said to the servant woman, “Bring me my brother’s purse.” She brought it to him, and he took two dirhams. When Īsā returned home, the servant woman told him that Fath had come and taken the two dirhams. He said, “If you are telling the truth, you are free.” He checked and found that she was telling the truth, so she was set free.
