140 — Al-Walīd ibn Sufyān al-ʿAttārī al-Basrī—who was trustworthy—narrated to us, saying: ʿUbayd ibn ʿAmr al-Hanafī narrated to us, saying: ʿAlī ibn Yazīd narrated to us, from Saʿīd ibn al-Musayyib, from Abū Hurayra, who said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: “The foremost aspect of intelligence, after faith in Allah, Mighty and Majestic, is showing kindness to people.”
