129 — Al-Fadl ibn Ishāq narrated to me, from Abū Qutayba, from Sufyān al-Thawrī, from Ziyād ibn Fayyād, from Tamīm ibn Salama: “When Umar came to Syria, Abū Ubayda ibn al-Jarrāh went out to meet him and rushed toward him in anguish. Umar embraced him and kissed his hand, and they both began to weep.”
