95 – Al-Ḥusayn narrated to us; ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; he said: My father related to me, from Hisham ibn Muhammad, from ʿAbd Allah al-Juʿfi, from Jabir, from Abu Jaʿfar Muhammad ibn ʿAli, who said:

When ʿAli (may Allah be pleased with him) passed away, al-Hasan ibn ʿAli ordered that Ibn Muljam be brought before him. He struck him once, severing his fingers, then struck him a second time and killed him. Fearing the repercussions of those two blows, al-Hasan later performed the pilgrimage on foot and, on three separate occasions, divided all his wealth in charity for the sake of Allah.
