92 – Al-Ḥusayn narrated to us; ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us; he said: Al-ʿAbbās ibn Hishām informed me from his father; he said: Abū Bakr ibn ʿAyyāsh narrated to me:

A company of men from Yemen, of the tribe of Murād, arrived, and Ibn Muljam was among them. When they stood before ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb, he asked, “From which people are you?” They answered, “From Murād.” Repeating the remark several times, he said, “Never have I seen faces more objectionable than I see today.” Then he ordered, “Head for Egypt.” ⦗80⦘ Among them was Saydān ibn Ḥimrān, the man who struck ʿUthmān with the sword on the day he forced his way in to him.
