72 – Al-Ḥusayn narrated to us; ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Abu ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Qurashī narrated to us; ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Muḥammad al-Bukhārī narrated, from Muḥammad ibn Isḥāq, from Saʿd ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Abī Ayyūb, who said:
“I was being raised in the care of my grandmother, Umm Abī, daughter of Saʿd ibn al-Rabīʿ, who was then married to Zayd ibn Thābit. I heard her say, ‘I once saw myself, while still a young girl, in ⦗68⦘ a piece of land we owned at al-Aswāf with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ present along with a group of his Companions. The Messenger of Allah said to us, “A man from the people of Paradise will now enter upon you.” He then bent forward slightly and added, “Let it be ʿAlī.” ʿAlī soon appeared, the palm-branches being parted for him. By Him in whose hand is the soul of Umm Saʿd, his face shone like the full moon on its brightest night.’”
