71 – Al-Ḥusayn narrated to us; he said: ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Ṣāliḥ narrated to us; Yūnus ibn Bukayr narrated, from ʿAnbasah ibn al-Azhar—who served as the judge of Jurjān and belonged to Banū ʿĀmir ibn Dhuhl—who said: “The only reason ʿAlī refrained from using dye was the statement of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: ‘Color this from this,’ and he placed his hand on the crown of his head.”
