60 – Al-Ḥusayn narrated to us; ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Muhammad ibn ʿAmr ibn al-Ḥakam told me; Abu ʿAbd al-Rahman al-Taʾi transmitted from Jaʿfar ibn Muhammad, from his father, who said: “ʿAli was killed at the age of fifty-seven; he held the caliphate for five years, and the Prophet was commissioned when he (ʿAli) was seven.”
