55 – Al-Ḥusayn narrated to us; ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; he said: My father—may Allah have mercy on him—related to me from Hisham ibn Muhammad, from a shaykh of the Azd, from ʿAbd al-Rahman ibn Jundab, from his father, who said: ʿAli passed away on a Sunday, with eleven nights remaining in the month of Ramadan, in the year 40 AH.
