54 – Al-Ḥusayn narrated to us; ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Khalaf ibn Salim narrated to us; Abu Nuʿaym narrated to us; Sulayman ibn al-Qasim said: My mother related to me from Umm Jaʿfar, a concubine of ʿAli, who said: “I was pouring water over his hands when he took hold of his beard, lifted it to his nose and said, ‘Woe to you! One Friday you will be dyed with blood.’ No Friday passed before he was struck down—and it happened on a Friday.”
